Currently in its pre-development phase, the Manolo Fortich Solar Power Project is set to become one of Mindanao’s largest utility-scale solar facilities. Once operational, it will complement the region’s renewable energy mix and drive sustainable, low-carbon growth.
The Manolo Fortich Solar Power Project is a renewable energy initiative being developed by our wholly-owned subsidiary Manolo Fortich Power Corporation (MFPC). The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a Certificate of Authority (COA) granting MFPC exclusive authority to develop the project and to obtain all necessary permits for its implementation.
The project is located in Brgy Dalirig, Municipality of Manolo Fortich, Province of Bukidnon covering an estimated land area of 202.38 hectares.
With an estimated capacity of 277.9 MWp / 198 MWac featuring a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 38.28MW/168.498MWh, the project is being built to provide clean, reliable, and affordable electricity utilizing renewable energy resources. Ultimately, it aims to enhance energy security, lower carbon emissions, decrease dependence on imported fossil fuels, and support the Philippines’ transition toward a sustainable energy system.
Target Commercial Operation Date of the project is by Q4 2029.
